zymox?

hi guys! just wanting some advice here as a new cat owner who is also broke and busy. i adopted a one year old female black cat about a month ago and in the last week or two ive noticed that she’s developed some scabbing around her ears/ chin/ neck, which made me realize she’s been grooming more than i would say is normal based off my research. she has her appointment to get spayed and get all of her vaccines in a week, so i wanted to hold out until then before taking her to the vet since it’s a non-emergency. i can’t take time off work this week and i can’t really afford an additional vet visit on top of the one she already has scheduled where i can bring this up.

i purchased some zymox from the pet store yesterday and have been applying it once a day around the affected areas. has anyone used this and has it worked? i have truly no idea what’s causing the itchiness and it’s damn near impossible to narrow it down since she’s in a new environment so it could truly be anything, so i’m using this as a crutch for now until a vet can pinpoint the cause. just wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with this!
