why do people say life gets better

i am a 15 year old male, i have struggled with insomnia depression(not anymore) and so on for a long long time now people tell me it gets better but from what i hear and see it doesn't it actually gets worse. i am as free as a person can get without being an outlaw and i still feel trapped when i get older that freedom will start going away faster and faster until i am living from paycheck to paycheck with no fun in my life. i do have friends but still stuff like my insomnia probably won't go away for a long time and will just get worse and everything else will get worse too yes there is a chance at succes but the chance of no succes is much larger. i just find it hard to go on i don't know who i am and i don't like being me, i know what's good and bad, i know what freedom is. but this world is just truly messed up?, no? we live on an imaginary number that grants us things, of which can simply be printed more for the rich while the poor work hard for a small amount just to live "freedom is slavery, war is peace, ignorance is strength" there are also camera's EVERYWHERE nothing goes unnoticed and we are always being watched, what has this world become? sorry that this post is all over the place i just wanted to write stuff out. don't take this too seriously bla bla
