Trying to tap into ancestor's energy unsuccessful

So I am adopted and I was trying to reach out to my ancestors while shuffling my cards and I feel like the energy was not accepting. Idk if this is just my own feelings projecting? Cause I have done divination around on people and I could tell that the energy was unaccepting, but this energy feels a lot stronger, and in a way my own energy feels vulnerable. TBH I feel like because of my identity I will probably be rejected by my ancestors, but I would still like to hear their wisdom, and what burdens they left me which I need to work through in my own lifetime. Does anyone know what this unaccepting energy might mean?

BTW if anyone asks no I have no guaranteed way of finding birth relatives unless I put in a lot of money and time which I don't have
