Pierced ears for CD

Did you get your ears pierced for crossdressing or doing drag, or do you get by by wearing clip-on earrings? I don't know if I'd wear earrings normally, but I'm thinking about doing it, just so I can wear big hoops and other nice earrings that require pierced ears, as I find the choices of clip-on earrings to be rather limited. Not too sure how to go about it yet. What do you think? Also, if you know a shop in Europe that has nice clip earrings, or you have other suggestions where to get them, please let me know
