Thinking about going to a rave

I'm 33 never been to a rave. I live with my mom and have no friends. Is it okay to come alone. One reason I wanna try raving is I work all week. I see the same thing over and over. And honestly sitting at home playing game ain't cutting it. I need to try some new shit.

What do you do when out alone? I'm a terribly shy person.

What should I bring?

How do I not sit awkwardly in the corner?
