Update: Radial Scar monitor only

By way of background , birads 4b: architectural distortion in palpable area plus calcifications. Biopsy radiology felt calcification were quite posterior and deep and not very suspicious so went for AD first and thought it would inform from them.

To my relief, it was BENIGN radial scar. However, biopsy radiologist is recommended monitoring instead of excision. Personally, they been monitoring my breasta yearly if not 6 months for over 5 years. Area of palpable interior density and then this AD pops up.

I’ve seen most radial scars recommend excision . I have 4 kids under 18 and these past few days have been hell. I am very risk averse and don’t want to spend next 2 wondering if it’s hiding something. Any recommendations on how to advocate for excision?
