This friend used to shower me with excessive compliments, constantly telling me I was a "priority" in their life, their go-to person for venting, and that our friendship would last forever.

Recently, I decided to end the friendship over text due to personal reasons. It’s been four days now, and they still haven't replied. That’s incredibly uncharacteristic of them, since they almost always answer within a day or two unless they are completely busy with school stuff.

The thing is, school just finished in my area and they had been telling me that after school was over, we'd be texting each other 24/7. Instead, they’ve been highly active on social media, posting photos of themselves hanging out with other friends and looking completely unfazed, as if nothing even happened.

It’s highly likely they’ve seen my message, which leaves me wondering if they ever actually valued our friendship as much as they claimed. I'm feeling incredibly hurt by their complete silence, but am I overreacting for feeling this way?
