Driving from San Antonio to Michigan 7/11-?

I am flying to Michigan tomorrow with my son. It will be our second vacation since his mother passed away. Going to fly back to San Antonio on the 10th and picking up my car so I can drive back. Looking for someone to share the drive. I will pay gas. Stops along the way for hikes or kitschy/tourist stops are definitely ok. No specific route planned. Just driving vaguely north by northeast
