GRIII Bricked Post 2.1 Firmware Update

Hello,

I was trying to update my GRII Street Edition to the latest firmware (1.6 -> 2.1) and something happened during the update. I downloaded the firmware, placed in SD card and when booting up was prompted to start the update (showed right version and all). I started the process but at some point the progress bar was not moving and then screen went black. I am now unable to turn on the camera at all; have tried a new battery, plugging into power directly, etc. Power button does nothing.

Am I completely effed here? I bought the camera second hand so no warranty or anything. I specifically charged the battery all morning to avoid this issue so do not know what went wrong :(

I have re-inspected the SD card and it still has the expected binary, no file naming issues, etc.
