Does the sinking economy and weakening yen affect your decision to stay here?

I have PR, a family here and I’m about to buy a house, but honestly it worries me a bit. we’re at 160 to the dollar today and the once joked about 200 yen to the dollar honestly seems like it could happen one day. Japan will always be beautiful but I expect it to become a Thailand 2. As we import so much, those imports will get more and more expensive and quality of life will take a hit.

If anyone whos lived here for some time is thinking about moving elsewhere I’d love to know what made the decision for you.
