Can i use Nemirtingas Epic Emulator for remnant from the ashes to play with friends?

I downloaded the game from FitGirl and tried using Proton VPN, but I'm getting the error shown in the screenshot. I checked the Megathread and found information about the " Nemirtingas Epic Emulator " but I'm not sure if it works or how good it is. I know that being listed in the Megathread implies a certain level of trust, but I'm still a bit confused about it; could someone clarify, or perhaps provide some extra information or tips on how to handle this?
