Commission based?

I plan on speaking to the store general manager to share my positive interaction, but do store supervisors work on commission? I had the nicest supervisor help me troubleshoot my MacBook order from Wednesday (before the price hike) and helped me navigate the issue and order a new one because I got 47 different responses from 15 different supervisors on why my order was held/not being sent to the store (including telling me my tv was backordered and getting sent someone else’s tracking info to a PC laptop). I’m curious if he was that helpful because he wanted the sale or if he was truly just genuinely helpful and kind.
