Ordered MacBook Air then cancelled…

Discussion

I had kept a configured MBA in my Apple Store App for a couple of weeks, waiting for a new bank account to clear and issue a card I could use for purchase.

I pulled the trigger this morning, then noticed the price had risen £200, from my recollection, with no notification of the price rises (which I think is poor form!)

Checked on John Lewis (UK Department Store), which still have the previous prices…

Ordered from John Lewis and cancelled the Apple Store order, giving the reason “found better price”…

I’m not totally against Apple raising prices, which they already did for the M5 variants, albeit also increasing minimum SSD/RAM so some additional benefit.

However, considering the Apple Tax imposed on both SSD and RAM for many years, this leaves a slightly bitter taste, especially as this are BIG increases.

What are your thoughts?

If you are looking to purchase now, check partner sellers first, as they may likely still have the pre-increase prices.
