Skin tingling/sensitivity after dose increase
I’ve been on the Wegovy tablet for several months now, slowly titrating my dose upward. It’s been going very well—gastrointestinal side effects have been mild, and I’m down about 17 lbs from my starting weight of 250.
Two weeks ago I finally started the full clinical dosage of 25mg. The first week was fine. Then, a week later, I suddenly started having chills and a tingly pins-and needles sensation across most of my body, as well as some fatigue. It’s now been eight days since I first noticed it, and while the fatigue is better, my skin still feels tingly and sensitive. It’s not exactly painful but it is very uncomfortable and distracting, like a moderate sunburn. It’s hurting my productivity at work and making it very difficult to exercise.
Anyone else who had a similar reaction: how long did it last? Did it go away eventually? Was there anything that helped?
I’m really pleased with my progress on Wegovy so far and I can handle some discomfort if I know it’ll go away soon. But if this is going to be a long-term side-effect, I’m not sure I can stay on the treatment.
