Guy asks for recommendations where to go on first date instead of planning it himself

I’m 24F and Idk if it’s wrong of me to feel disappointed when a guy asks for recommendations where to go instead of just picking a place for a first date, am I overreacting?The last three dates I’ve had with different guys, I had to be the one to find a place. First one he asked what food I liked, when I said Mexican he asked what restaurant has good Mexican food that we can go to so I recommended one. Second one he was new to my city so he asked me to show him around, and now this third one asked if I wanted to get drinks but then asked if I have any recommendations where to go. Why it frustrates me is because I have to put in the work and think of a good location that has good vibes or food and drinks, and even sometimes think about what would be a good area to walk around after. Maybe I’m over complicating it but I like to think through the details so picking a date spot I feel like I have to do all the work where to go and they just show up instead of being the one to think of a plan. Especially if they’re the one that asks me out, idk am I overreacting? Is this any sort of indicator of what kind of person they are? Or is this just a way men try to see what you like so that you enjoy the date
