I don't know what to think of what just happened

Sorry if it's not okay, but I'm 17f and wanted to ask this here so I can get a mom's perspective. My mom asked me why I'm so depressed lately and I said that I don't know, and from one point to another I told her that I hate myself no matter how much I try to love myself and not hate me while I accidentally started crying. She started crying too, and now I feel even worse about this. I never wanted to let her know i hate myself, I'm her daughter. I don't even know what Im asking here, what would you do if this happened to your daughter?
