As a parent, last episode struck a cord

The last episode hit hard. Naturally, we go for the protagonist and their wants and needs, within reason. But as a mom, the last episode hit hard. >!Any parent’s natural instinct is to protect your child. But when it is to another, it is also to kill for your child. To see Beshir (the cop, hope I got his name right) immediately shoot Ruth but then inquired immediately who’s Richard’s last descendant struck a cord. We understand and hoped he wouldn’t find out that it’s Evan. But at the same time, as a parent who wants my kid to not be born and cursed in a town, I totally understand Beshir’s desperation to give their child a future. And sometimes that involves no one getting in the way of that. !< This is what makes this show amazing to me, because both of them feel like they’re in the right, and split the audience on their perspectives in this situation.
