Purpose of Sync

Hi everyone,

I'm a new pCloud user (I wanted to try to move away from Drive/Dropbox and with their extra free Gib offer for new users I thought I could give them a try). I'm currently using it on Manjaro linux.

I'm wondering though what actually is the purpose of Sync, since I can do the exact same task by linking the directories in the pCloudDrive (mounted in my home) directly to the desktop or any other place. And moving files in/out from there actually holds the sync with the cloud. And also I'm not duplicating files on the drive (I guess?).

Am I missing something?
