Dealer installed factory trailer brake controller - 2026 1500 Bighorn

I'm having a factory trailer brake controller installed at the dealership this week. Without actually connecting to a trailer, how can I determine if the truck recognizes that the controller is installed?

While I have previous experience towing (small boats and a popup camper) this will be my first time using a brake controller.
