Opinions needed from people who's parents didn't make a huge deal about birthdays

Just looking for opinions here! I really think my family over indulged us and we did tooooo many activities.

I don't want to over correct but my gut is telling me to have more low key birthday celebrations for my kids

If your parents didn't go all out and just did low key birthdays did you appreciate it or feel gypped out
