Deciding between 16GB and 32GB
Hey guys, I’m building my first pc and I ran into a dilemma. I found a 1440p build online with a
GIGABYTE B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI AMD AM5 mATX Motherboard
and
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor.
I placed an order for
Team Group 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000
but started debating if I should cancel and make the jump to
TEAMGROUP T-FORCE DELTA RGB DDR5 Ram
32GB (2x16GB) 6000
which is priced at $470 right now.
I don’t want to cancel my order if I’m gonna stick with 16GB, but I’m worried about constantly feeling constrained and needing to close down Spotify and Discord to play an AAA.
In the near future, 32GB will become the new minimum, which makes buying it now possibly less expensive than getting 16GB and having to upgrade. On the other hand, the prices will hopefully drop and 16GB runs most AAA games, given you don’t have a thousand different apps open.
Just wanted to hear your guys’ thoughts.
