I just finished Steven Universe and I think it changed my life

For so long I never thought to watch Steven Universe but I absolutely love Rebecca Sugar and Adventure Time so I finally decided to watch it and I can’t even explain what it has done to me. I genuinely can’t look at life the same way. Everything about that show is beautiful and it is absolutely amazing how it has made me think about life and the universe and the human experience. I honestly think Rose’s outlook on life has truly put a lot into perspective and I absolutely adore her. I love the concepts the show pushes like empathy and change and purpose and just the meaning of life in general. Rose’s “when a gem is made, it’s for a reason” speech gives me chills every time I hear it. Almost every episode had me in tears and deep in thought for days. I truly believe this show has opened up a lot for me, I have never been so positively existential in my life and it is so beautiful that there is art/media out there that can create these feelings and honestly… change your life.
