Commonwealth and America

So I've been watching season 11 of TWD for the first time and I'm introduced to the community of Commonwealth. Me, being a Conservative who loves respectful debates with leftists, noticed some patterns. I think at this point the show is trying to push the "american dream" and America in general as vile and corrupted. Now I'm also a Christian, so I have no problem saying that people are corrupted-- but the whole line of America is the worst place on earth and is fascist is quite ludicrous.

My main issue is with the soldiers. You will see leftists online crying out about police brutality and ICE and whatnot. I think the show is trying to push that narrative. Yes, there are bad cops who join the field and are evil in doing it, but the majority are police officers dedicated to saving lives, and they HAVE to be forceful and aggressive if people aren't listening! There was a scene after Sabastian's terrible view on Commonwealth was leaked and the people started rioting. They threw things at the cops, and the police were seen as wicked when they fought back against the riot.

I'm not trying to dig deep into the show, but seeing as we live in a world where they love to push their ideology into tv shows and movies, I wanted to speak on this because it caught my eye and it was sadly...very obvious.
