Packing tips for Trip to the Dominican Republic

I'm going to the Dominican Republic at the end of July for a wedding. What do I pack for clothing or other essentials? I know clothing that doesn't emphasize sweat would be ideal, but would also love a balance of slightly fashionable mixed with not sweating to death 😂 Any other smaller essentials I should think to pack? This is my first time out of the country so I'm feeling a little lost, haha.
