Doing IMAT while enrolled in a private foundation year in Italy — is it worth it? What happens if I pass?
- Is it worth sitting the IMAT while already enrolled in a private foundation year? Has anyone done this or know someone who has? Did the foundation year actually help with IMAT preparation?
- If I sit IMAT in September and get accepted into a public university while already in Italy on a student visa tied to Link Campus — what happens practically? Can I transfer my visa to the new university, or do I need to go through the whole process again?
- What are the realistic non-EU scores I should be aiming for based on 2025 data? I've seen scores ranging from 49.3 (Bari) to 73 (Pavia) for non-EU students.
- Is the Tor Vergata Tirana campus (0.0 cut-off, 150 seats) a legitimate option? Is the degree fully recognized as an Italian degree, and would you recommend it as a safety net choice?
- For anyone who studied at Link Campus specifically — did the foundation year actually prepare you well for IMAT, or is it better to self-study separately?
