2 weeks on Modafinil…might as well be a sugar pill

Started on 200 mg modafinil about two weeks ago. Dr. Suggested I take one 100 mg pill in the morning and the other around lunch time. This medication seems to do nothing for me. The past few days, I’ve tried taking all 200mg at once and still don’t feel a thing. It doesn’t make a dent in my sleepiness, and I don’t feel any side effects either other than a headache the first couple of days. I thought maybe I’m just used to Adderall, which I was told to stop while taking the modafinil. The adderall would help for a couple of hours, and then I’d crash, but the effects were definitely pronounced. The doctor said that a lot of patients find modafinil life changing, so I guess I’m just surprised that it’s not even working a little bit. I’m still sleeping 12-18 hours a day 🥴
