my partner accidentally injured me and i'm not sure how to move past it

just want to be clear that this was a complete accident, not an intentional injury or one sustained during an argument

i was helping my partner get some things out of the car trunk. there was a suitcase which was removed from the trunk and placed on the ground. i bent to pick up the suitcase and bring it inside, at the same time my partner went to close the trunk.

they didn't see me bent down next to them and slammed the trunk door to shut it at the same time i was standing up, and i was too close to it and it smacked me hard in the head. it's been 10 days since then. i have a mild concussion, a small scab on my head and have been unable to work and have had to seriously limit driving and any activity involving light and noise.

my partner keeps apologizing and feels horrible but i feel some resentment that they didnt check to make sure i was at a safe distance before slamming the trunk. there's no question that it was a complete accident but i keep getting worried that this is some sign of a larger trend of negligence and unreliability. like what if they make another mistake and injure me again due to simply not paying attention? we're in a serious relationship and i want to be able to trust my partner with my life but this makes me feel like i can't.

at the same time i don't want to end the relationship over this. ive been trying to stay positive and just focus on getting better but i think my repressed resentment is affecting my attitude towards them and i dont want it to cause relationship problems for us

what do you think i should do?
