Update to Sonoma causing slowness?
Hey all, I have a 14 inch M1 Pro base model laptop. I was on Monterey for years (since late 2021) until I got a notification from Google Chrome that Monterey was nearing end of life for Chrome. Because of this, I updated my laptop to Sonomo (2 versions up) to give myself a few more years. However, since then I've noticed my laptop getting slower and pausing sometimes.
Before the update, my laptop essentially behaved like it was brand new and everything opened up quickly and I never noticed any slowness. Now, Google Chrome takes a few seconds after I open it for it to be "ready" to accept searches and sometimes while typing the cursor will pause and then enter all the letters at once. I don't really do anything on my laptop anymore (besides Google Chrome) and only have maybe ~5 tabs open at a time on things like Gmail, youtube, reddit, etc...
Is this to be expected or did something go wrong during the installation? I updated my laptop about 2 weeks ago at this point so I don't think indexing is the issue
