Sanctuary Church of Wilmington

For those who made donations to the building project and want their money refunded the SOW ACCOUNTABLE page on Facebook made this post. It has all the pertinent verifiable information. There is a deadline of July 17. I do not know any more than what I have put here. I just want everyone to have a chance to pursue this if they choose to.

🚨 URGENT: YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND FOR YOUR SOW BUILDING PROJECT DONATION, ACT NOW!🚨

The property at 6358 Myrtle Grove Road has been sold. Storehouse Holdings, LLC has announced that it is returning the funds donated by The SOW members toward the building project.

⏰ YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL JULY 17, 2026 TO ACT

If you were an original donor and want YOUR donation returned directly to YOU, you MUST contact:

📧 gidget@ervinlawnc.com by NO LATER THAN July 17, 2026.

If you do nothing, your donation will automatically be returned to The Sanctuary of Wilmington (TSOW) instead of being refunded to you.

According to the information provided by the law firm:

• A total of $586,061.67 donated by TSOW members is being made available for refund.

• Refund amounts will be based on TSOW's donation records.

• Any discrepancies in donation amounts must be addressed with TSOW.

• Ervin Law, PLLC is administering the refund process on behalf of Storehouse Holdings, LLC.

⚠️ Didn't receive an email? If you know you donated to the building project—especially if you have receipts, bank records, canceled checks, or other proof of your donation—don't assume you're not eligible. Contact Ervin Law immediately at gidget@ervinlawnc.com. If there is any discrepancy regarding your donation amount or whether your donation appears in the records, the law firm's letter states those issues must be addressed with The Sanctuary of Wilmington.

Regardless of where anyone stands on everything that has happened, I commend Chris Baker and Kyle Kelsay for choosing to make donors whole after the building project could no longer move forward. According to their letter, they received no proceeds from the sale, contributed significant personal funds toward the project, and elected to return the church members' donations rather than recover their own investment. Giving donors the opportunity to receive back what they sacrificially gave is the right thing to do.

📢 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST. Many former members are no longer connected with The SOW and may never see the email from the law firm. If someone donated to the building fund, they deserve to know they have until July 17, 2026 to request a refund. After that date, any unclaimed donation will be returned to The SOW.
