AWS Annapurna Labs vs Tesla Internship Offers

Career Advice

I’m fortunate to be deciding between two internship opportunities for Fall 26. I would love to hear from people who have either worked at these company or people within this industry.

For context, I’m a rising ECE junior with interest in embedded systems, firmware, hardware development, PCB test and development, and hopefully chip design.

1) Amazon Annapurna Labs
Location: Austin, TX
Role: SDE intern, but likely to be focusing on firmware development
Note: Manager said it’s very startup-like and flexible, which really excites me

2) Tesla Energy
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Role: Reliability Electronics Design Engineer Intern

I am unsure as to what is better, and I understand that Amazon pays far better. However, in terms of resume value and career advancements, I’m wondering where I’ll probably learn more and what is more geared towards my goal.
