Any chance Dr. Kline is a reference to the artist Franz Kline, or to the mathematician Felix Kline, who invented the Kline bottle?

Looking at the art of Kline, I could see it. I could also see if Kline is a reference to the Kline bottle and other non-Euclidean geometries.
