Is trauma therapy worth it?
I started trauma therapy a few weeks ago and I still have like 9 weeks left. Idk if I can do it. I know my mental health is going to get worse before it gets better but I can't take it anymore. I'm doing cognitive processing therapy. My PTSD got worse and now it's getting better again, but my anxiety is just terrible and I cry all the fucking time. Sometimes I don't even know why i'm crying! I told my therapist this today and she said to keep an eye on if i'm hungry, tired, etc when i cry. She didn't have much to say to help me get through this. I only have one support person, my boyfriend, and I don't want to drain him with this so i've been keeping to myself a lot. Does it get better? Is it worth it to keep doing this therapy? Is it even going to help me? I can't live with daily panic attacks and major anxiety. I can usually calm the panic attacks down but it's still draining. I couldn't even leave my house yesterday. There is no meds for me to try to take daily for anxiety anymore. I have lorazepam as needed, that's it, because of side effects and being bipolar i can't use a lot of meds.
