Even as someone who has a liking for classical do-gooders, I will admit that there's just an appeal to embracing the darkness within and letting her rip.

1) *Metal Gear Rising: Revengance* \- Raiden embraces his "Jack the Ripper" side and accepts his own bloodlust, ultimately accepting what Sam was trying to tell him in their first duel.

2) *Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003)* \- Being that Anakin eventually turns to the Dark Side, you can pick many moments of him embracing an inner darkness. However, I'll go with his fight with Asajj Ventress on Yavin in the 2003 show; it's one of my favorite Star Wars duels ever and has Anakin giving in to his anger to overwhelm and overpower Ventress.

3) *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* \- "Dark Determination" is a phenomenon where someone temporarily throws away their morals to pursue a goal, which leads to ruthlessness and fanaticism. This first shows up in Part 6 and is first explained in Part 7, but in the adaptation, this concept now retroactively appears in some earlier parts.

4) *Devil May Cry 3* \- The game's arc revolves around Dante learning to accept the demonic side of his heritage to overcome Vergil. That being said, this one is tamer than the others as Dante is still, more or less, a pure hero by the end of it.
