Am I transmedicalist?
I am a 25F trans woman and I have wondered if I'm transmedicalist because of certain views I hold. I believe if you are trans masc or trans femme, you should be doing your best to viewed the way you fall into the gender binary. If you can't access HRT, that's fine, but you should be doing everything you can otherwise. I know nonbinary folks don't necessarily need to follow these rules because they don't follow the gender binary. I also think that you don't need to tuck/bind constantly cause I know shit gets exhausting. I don't think that "passing" is the goal of transitioning, but being comfortable in your body is. Yet, if you're a trans person and you're not taking HRT, despite having the means to take it, why are you not doing so? I started transitioning 5 years ago, but had to detransition for 3 years, so when I could finally start HRT again I cried tears of joy. I dress like a woman, my name is changed, and everyone does a double take because of my unfortunate height, but always refers to me as a woman. I feel gender euphoria everyday because of this, so I don't understand why everyone doesn't do this and why I have been transmedicalist for saying so. Feel free to tell me where I'm wrong and why I should change my mind, I'm very open minded.
