Help
I came to the U.S. in 2018 with a visitor visa and ended up overstaying. I waited five years before applying for asylum. My case is now in immigration court, and my first hearing is on August 31. I was never scheduled for an asylum interview with USCIS.
The notice I received says that I am in removal proceedings. I’m in a relationship with a U.S. citizen, and we’re thinking about getting married. Do you think getting married would help my immigration case? Has anyone been in a similar situation? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
