Please take some things serious - even on this festival

I thought about this topic for two days now- and came to the result, that I have to express the following please:

If there is an evacuation announced - take it serious and follow the orders of crews and security.

The first evacuation worked - in my sense of „how it should“- great or better than expected.

Perhaps because people realised a „real imminent“ danger due to smoke etc..

On Saturday than, I experienced that most of the guests behaved calm and followed the instructions.

But- and this is the reason for this post- also many that obviously didn’t realise, that an evacuation that is announced is always the last tool to protect guests and crew - even if there is nothing imminent you can see or feel at this moment.

I am a crew member and was called due to my stand by to handle our stuff as discussed for situations like that.

When I arrived, The evacuation had not yet been announced and there was a long line in front of the showers.

After the announcement - many (and at lest I think I talk about 50-60 guests minimum) used this moment to skip the row and use the shower.

Many guest didn’t leave the festival area and And remained seated in and in front of the hangars.

We can consider ourselves lucky that the storm passed us by after all- if that hadn’t been case - we could have many injuries in minimum.

For us (our crew) it made it much harder and in parts not possible to fulfill our emergency plan, because we had to discuss with many guests that this situation has to be taken serious and that everyone has to follow the announcement.

If any person would have been injured or sth like that- there are always controls how this was even possible.

And if we want this festival to stay alive- don’t risk your integrity or that of others by an behavior like that.

There will be always someone who will be responsible for an injury or worse of a person on an event like that - and usually it isn’t the one who is injured.

Please please please take announcements like this always serious- for you- for others - for crew members and for this whole event.

Look for others and supporrt each other.
