Keep standing even not doing anything and try looking busy

I work at TBC as a service advisor. Am i supposed to stand all the time? Like 8 hours straight? What kind of ridiculousness is this? The moment i sit for a bit when no member is around, some manager just pops out from somewhere to make my life hell and ask me to go do something.. how am i supposed to go do something if i am also supposed to be waiting for members to show up on the TBC counter.. i mean wtf is this shit?
