Hello, this is my first time posting here. I’m reaching out because I have a very stressed orchid that needs help, and no one in my family is all that knowledgeable on how to take care of plants.

First of all, yes, I know she’s not in the right soil (she’s currently in succulent soil mixed with perlite, if that matters). This was an emergency replant, and I’m not planning on keeping her in this soil forever. She had been in the same soil for 6 years, and all her roots except her aerial roots had completely rotted off. I put her in this soil just to give her somewhere to sit while I tend to her. It’s been maybe a week and a half since repotting, and I’ve been watering her aerial roots diligently (I think I overwatered her a bit, but I can’t tell) and keeping her in bright indirect light. Is there anything else I should be doing to save her?

I’m worried about the yellow leaf, since it looks pretty unhealthy and also has a bit of mold growing on the underside. I don’t think her environment is humid enough, but I’m worried that raising the humidity will only exacerbate the mold. Her other leaf looks much better by comparison, but I am keeping my eye on that withered tip. Also, I did cut off her flower stalk as it was completely brown and dead, and I trimmed away any rot i found on her stem.

Any advice on what I can do to get her healthy again would be much appreciated.

Help needed for my orchid!
