Trivia over Germany vs Paraguay 2026.

Paraguay became the first side to defeat Germany in a World Cup penalty shootout, and only one of two sides to defeat the Germans in a PSO—Czechoslovakia being the other when they won after Panenka kicked the ball over Sepp Meier during the 1976 Euro Final.

Paraguay also joins Croatia as the only two nations undefeated in multiple World Cup PSOs (Croatia 3-0; Paraguay 2-0).
