Gap insurance is a scam

Bought a used car recently and the finance manager really pushed me to get gap insurance. Said “Myself and everyone here always gets gap. And we do this for a living”

It was $25 a month or so. I declined. Went to sign up for insurance and saw that they have loan/lease payoff insurance as an addon (so gap insurance but its limited to 125% of car value and deductible applies) and it was FIVE DOLLARS FOR 6 MONTHS! This is why i dont respect these people
