I’m (29m) talking to a girl (25F) who broke up with her ex months ago and I’m spiraling over the red flags. Am I overthinking this?
I started talking to a girl I really like. Things are going well so far, but I’m getting in my head because of her last relationship (lasted 6 months and was apparently extremely intense. She pushed for exclusivity within a couple weeks) **She ended it 4 months ago**
Her ex was a high-value guy, successful, good-looking, treated her extremely well, and from what I’ve heard through mutual friends, the sexual chemistry was off the charts (she apparently told our mutual friends it was the best she’d ever had). She really had him high up on a pedestal, borderline obsessed.
She was very into him talking about a future (showing him engagement ring she liked and talking about kids even.., very affectionate, etc. Then \\\*\\\*she\\\*\\\* suddenly broke up with him with pretty flimsy reasons. It came out of nowhere. Worried she’s fearful avoidant bec she admittedly has serious anxiety and self worth issues
Since the breakup:
🚩 She started following a love reconciliation psychic account shortly after they split and still follows it
🚩 For the first 2 months she was viewing all his IG stories instantly, even though she barely used IG before. He then blocked her.
🚩 TWO weeks before she ended it she showed him an engagement ring she liked, said she was in love with him. She apparently was the one who brought these up according to my sister (her friend)
🚩 She sent him a text shortlyh after the breakup saying she felt awful about how she handled the breakup but he never replied to it.
🚩
They have not spoken since. she a couple months after ending it sent all his love notes and their pictures when together back to him and idk why (seems like a hostile act)
🚩 she was apparently sexually obsessed with this guy.
I’m starting to feel like I might be the rebound/safe option while she’s still not fully over him. The more details I learn, the more insecure I get. I keep comparing myself to him and it’s driving me crazy.
Am I overthinking this, or are these legitimate red flags?
