PC crashes during AMD driver update

Every time I try to install an AMD driver that's newer than mid 2024 my pc crashes in the middle of the installation and causes windows to lock up on the desktop until I uninstall the driver through safe mode

AMD Ryzen 5 7600

AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT

32gb DDR5

Windows 11 25h2 26200.8655

I've tried windows 10 and windows 11, both doing a full reinstall so I don't know if it's a hardware issue or it's just a windows thing.
