AC Unit Stops Working Every Few Hours
Hi all,
My indoor AC unit has been having some issues lately. After turning it on, it works for about 2 hours (despite being quite loud while running) until it just stops blowing cold air. When it stops working, it makes a sound that sounds like a large sigh or hiss. This does not trip the breaker, but the only way that I have found to fix it for a few more hours is to flip the breaker off and on again.
Does anyone know what is going on? Are there any other solutions? I’ve read online that it might be a capacitor but am not sure what to do to solve this. I have someone coming soon but it’s about to be 100 degrees outside this weekend so I can’t really keep it off for now.
Thanks for the help.
