4K S without passthrough

So I usually play 1440p 200hz on my PC but the 4K S only has passthrough of 144hz. Now the way I was doing it was having the 2 separate so I can use 200hz and get my capture, but there were always frame issues in recording. Is there a way that I can make this less of an issue while keeping my highest frame rate?
