Need some encouragement
Earlier this year, I was finally diagnosed by an endocrinologist with pcos/pmos after about a decade of presenting symptoms that no one took seriously. My endocrinologist decided to start me on metformin, but that wasn’t the right medication for me and left me feeling a lot worse. I have this extreme, insatiable hunger that has been around for the past 8 months, so my doc’s next recommendation was trying a GLP-1, and last week I gave myself my first dose of Zepbound. I anticipated some side effects, but did not expect things to be this rough! I have zero appetite, horrible nausea and food aversion, and I’m incredibly constipated. My days consist of eating/drinkjng protein shakes, greek yogurt, fruit, soup, and oatmeal. I feel so incredibly weak because I’m probably not eating enough. It’s all very anxiety-inducing and has left me emotionally and physically drained. If anyone could maybe give me some encouragement that this will get better, or share your experience with GLP-1, that would be helpful!
