[Request] Reddit vs LLMs

Say I want to ask a question here on r/theydidthemath and it ends up becoming a popular post with thousands of views/interactions/comments/shares. If you count the energy usage of every phone/PC used along with reddit servers and internet bandwidth (and any other consumption you may deem valid), how big would the post need to be before it used more energy than simply asking that question on a LLM? For simplicity let’s assume the quality of the response is a moot point since you can get slop from both LLMs and Reddit. But that would be a fun side debate.

For the record, I like the gathering of actual humans to provide input and that is why I come back to Reddit. But on a purely “ask Reddit” standpoint I have wondered if a simple question would be better to ask Siri vs Reddit strictly from an energy use perspective.

Also I get the irony that a large chunk of Reddit is actual bots. Kinda funny
