My friends never take my condition seriously.

🫶🏻 Friendships/Relationships

This is mainly a rant but my friends recently asked me "have you ever been offended by autistic jokes" I said "if its a person I know/am friends with I don't really care, but if its someone I do not know I do take some offense to that" but I also brought up how it does offend me how people/friends will say "well you don't look autistic" then guess what...they made fun of me for it and said that I do not even act autistic even with the diagnose they encouraged me to get. I have talked to my therapist about this and he said that it is probably due to me constanly masking around them that they do not notice the bigger traits. It also makes me mad that throughout middle school and freshmen year of high school they constantly made fun of me for being weird or having weirder interests but once I got the diagnose they suddenly flipped into how "you aren't that weird" and "we are all on the spectrum" and every time I bring it up they will make fun of it until I give up. I feel like I can never be myself around them in fear that I will be made fun of and that also makes me feel alienated from my true self to the point do I even know me? I only have one more year of high school so I will probably just tuff it out, like I have the past 5 years.
