Can't pick up Nekomancer parts

Hi, I have so far, over 8 or so runs been completely unable to make the Nekomancer because I can't interact with the parts.

The doll has been fine. The bell is pretty unresponsive but after several rounds of trying I can usually pick it up. So far I've never been able to pick up the cat statue. Tried different angles, distances, crouching, jumping, nothing works. I've tried before and after throwing the cat cage in lava, makes no difference. I've watched multiple videos and read guides and it doesn't seem like I'm doing anything different to what they're doing. In most videos they just look at the thing and pick it up, but for the bell and particularly the cat it is very difficult for me to do. Any ideas?

I have been unable to find evidence of other people experiencing this, so my apologies of this is a known issue.
