ELI5: LMS vs Resale Marketplace

I live in the Bay Area and as a casual soccer viewer, am hoping to opportunistically attend the R32 USA vs Bosnia match on 7/1. My personal spending limit would be $500-- does that seem possible? Should I be checking both LMS and the Resale Marketplace at the same time? From what I gather LMS drops happen shortly before midnight on weeknights, so I should get in the queue closer to 11pm the night before and refresh my cart until fresh tickets pop up? For Resale Marketplace, I feel like I would want tickets in hand (figuratively speaking) before heading to Levi's, although I have read about people waiting in the parking lots at stadiums hoping to snag tickets at the last minute.

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
