Listening to some old video game music, why does nostalgia have to be painful?

I wish I could describe it better. I had an evening to myself and had a bop in my head that I couldn't figure out... Found out it's a song from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and... Idk I'm crying right now. I couldn't tell you why? I mean the music is good but it got me thinking that nostalgia can do that to you. My does nostalgia make you cry, at least at the level I am? I want to listen to more but makes me cry more 😭
